About the Opportunity

At Limo, we prioritize results compared to methods used to achieve those results. As a Medical Biller, you're responsible for managing provider credentialing and enrollment, and maintaining an effective oversight of the whole revenue cycle process for our clients. This may include confirming patient insurance, engaging with patients to rectify billing concerns, answering questions regarding insurance coverage, and elucidating billing and payment procedures to patients. All actions in billing and credentialing processes must comply with federal, state, and local law and regulations.

Joining our multidisciplinary team, your tasks would include:

• Confirming the correct usage of coding levels and procedure codes, to reconcile billing issues accurately, and to rectify denied claims promptly.
• Tracking payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compensation for claims.
• Entering or correcting patient demographic data into the billing system.
• Acting as a coding resource for providers and internal clients, offering feedback on documentation needs for correct coding and billing.
• Providing virtual support to patients, explaining insurance and billing to ensure the availability of appropriate treatment without service gaps.
• Proactive collaboration to assure the accurate and timely resolution of claims.
• Ensuring privacy requirements compliance, including adherence to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the immediate reporting of any inconsistencies or Protected Health Information (PHI) breaches.

You'd be a great fit, if you have:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare billing, coding, and credentialing and Associate degree in health information management systems, or a related field or a combination of education and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other commercial payer billing requirements
• Strong organizational skills, time management, follow-through, reliability, and attention to detail
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Suite
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong communication skills to be used across engineering, product and other functional teams.
